Campus life me student unions identity, voice, aur representation ka important platform hoti hain. Wo fee hikes, hostel rules, sexual harassment, placement issues, sab pe awaz uthate hain. Saath hi politics ka taste bhi yahin se shuru hota hai.
Law, however, do cheezein balance karne ki koshish karta hai:
- Students ka association, assembly, and speech ka right,
- Aur institutions ka discipline, academic environment, aur safety ensure karne ka duty.
Isliye universities codes of conduct banate hain: election expenditure limits, hate speech and violence ban, class disruption pe penalties, outsider political parties ka limited role, etc. Courts generally peaceful, issue-based student politics ko democracy ka training ground maante hain, lekin destructive agitations, vandalism, ya prolonged shutdowns ko approve nahi karte.
Recent years me social media ne campus politics ko amplify bhi kiya, polarise bhi. Student leaders ke posts national debates ka part ban jate hain, jisse unpe higher scrutiny bhi aa jati hai.
Ideal scenario yeh hai jahan union real academic and welfare issues pe focus kare, sirf power game na ban jaye. Law bhi isi direction me nudge karne ki koshish karta hai.
