General and Special Powers of Attorney: Granting and Revoking Authority

Power of Attorney (PoA) ek simple paper lagta hai, lekin effectively kisi ko aapke naam pe kaafi power de sakta hai – property bechna, bank operate karna, case file karna, etc.

General PoA usually wide hota hai – “mera agent meri taraf se sab legal, financial, and administrative kaam handle kar sakta hai.” Special PoA limited purpose ke liye hota hai – ek particular property sale, specific case representation, ya single transaction.

Formally valid PoA ke liye proper signature, witnesses, aur kabhi-kabhi notarisation/registration required hota hai (especially immovable property matters). Principal competent adult hona chahiye; undue influence or coercion pe later challenge possible hai.

Revocation important aspect hai. Aap PoA ko cancel kar sakte hain written revocation ke through, concerned parties ko notice dekar, aur jahan required ho waha registration office me record karwa ke. Agent ka power principal ki death, insanity, ya insolvency se bhi khatam ho sakta hai.

Kisi ko PoA deta waqt blind trust mat rakho. Scope clearly define karo, time-bound bana sakte ho, aur regular monitoring rakho. Lawyer drafting me thoda investment future ke bade disputes se bachaa sakta hai.
